I Hate Shades Gray And The Argument Of “Morals” In Laws.

I hate shades gray and the argument of â€Å"morals† in laws. Unfortunately, that is all Parent liability laws are, morals. And there the worst type of morals, old morals. And there popular, and the worst part is that the plaintiff and the defendant alike have strong cases against each other. After putting on my grandmother’s readers and looking over the case and listening to witness, my gavel has been brought down. Parent Liability laws aren’t inherently bad their just poorly written. The government should articulate parent liability laws to make them fair, effective and beneficial. Let’s first discuss why parent liability laws are important and even exist. Even†¦show more content†¦One of the great psychologist of the world, Dr. Phil, has repeatedly stated the importance of the relationship between the child and their same-sex parent and in 2005 69% of polled people thought parents were partially responsible for children s crimes these same people however did not believe that parents should be punished (Fabio,2014). However, this relationship had more impact on children then it does now. The idea that parents are solely responsible for their child’s crime is outdated, and certainly we wouldn’t want laws that are that are unfair like a ban on gay marriage. Frankly, liability laws may also be ineffective. To be honest there are a lot of ineffective laws that are put in place, such as Baltimore ordinance â€Å"not to curse inside the city limits.† Obviously, that law is not being followed, but laws like this don’t harm anyone because they re not enforced and are more less left over from times when America was trying to better itself, like during the prohibition, a stark difference when compared to liability laws. These laws hit single parent or low income homes more than stable two parent household. Gang members often come from low income household and the children of low income households are more likely to be exposed to violent crime.
